At Willington Post Office we are really happy about the tremendous support we have received from our customers over the past couple of years. In support of the "Your Post Office - Your Choice" campaign, take-up of new Post Office products and services has been remarkable. The resulting year on year increase in Post Office business undertaken at Willington has had a major impact on our position during the current Network Change programme.
The Post Office Network Change programme, leading to the closure of 2,500 branches, is the result of falling customer numbers and business across the whole country. This has been the result of changes in how Government business has been carried out, leading to the loss of pensions, TV licensing, Council Tax payments and reductions in areas such as Car Tax. Much of this has been blamed upon the increased use of the Internet.
Our website is intended to help offset some of that loss of business.
